  • NanoSurfaces is specialized in the production of titanium and titanium alloys commodities and components showing disparate shapes and applications. Hence, it is possible to create prototypes and/or produce components in almost any shape starting from the client’s need.
    The first step consists of realizing a parametric rendering, which is useful both to a preliminary evaluation and to the following production phase.
    Afterwards, NanoSurfaces is able to perform all of the most advanced shaping (numerical control machining, hot forming, metal injection moulding), surface finishing (sandblasting, sifting, electropolishing) and functionalization processes (TiColor™, TiHard™, laser writing). Conceivable applications are countless: advanced mechanics components (1-2), air cleaning filters, design objects (3-5)(Flos © lamp, Rexite © clock), jewels (6), furniture components (7-10)(Rexite © pencilholder and bookends, Flos © lamp) and company gadgets customized with the client’s logo.

  • New composite panels were recently put on the market, consisting of an external titanium layer 0.3 mm thick, a 3.4 mm middle layer made of polyethylene loaded with mineral charges and an internal stainless steel layer 0.3 mm thick.
    These panels exhibit low weight (9,3 kg/m²), high stiffness (equivalent modulus 49 GPa) and resistance (equivalent yield 61 MPa) and comparatively low price (1).
    Through numerical control machining and partial profiling panels can be shaped and bent in almost any shape (2-3) and subsequently finished by conferring specific surface finishing or functionalities (photocatalytic and self-cleaning properties)(4).
    NanoSurfaces (in collaboration with Alubuild srl, the Italian company responsible for these panels marketing in Italy, specialized in ventilated facades) offers to clients a full service, which possibly begins with the client’s rendering and ends with the creation of the component prototype, and/or its complete production (5).

  • Being specialized in offering integrated services in the oral implants field, NanoSurfaces offers the following services, either directly or through qualified suppliers:
    - decontamination and washing treatments;
    - stainless steel surface finishing (micro shot-peening, polishing, sandblasting), titanium components colour coding and polishing;
    - development and realization of chemical or electrochemical treatments (mordanting or high thickness anodic oxidation) aimed at obtaining an implant surface finishing with enhanced osseointegration;
    - coordination of in vitro analyses (biological and mechanical validation) and in vivo (on model animal) to characterize the osseointegration behaviour;
    - suitable documentation supporting the certification of performed processes;
    - total process traceability;
    - final washing and packing in clean room (ISO class 5);
    - sterilization.
    NanoSurfaces can offer a turnkey service; these services can also be provided separately (1-5).

  • Sol-gel is an extremely powerful technology, which allows a simple and cheap generation of nanostructured and functionalized surfaces offering disparate properties.
    Materials surfaces can be turned into hydrophilic, hydrophobic, antifogging, antiglare, antibacterial, anti-scratch, and so on.
    Owing to its strict collaboration with several Universities, beyond the production of standard sols NanoSurfaces can develop and produce customized sols according to the client’s need; the necessary safety sheets are also provided.
    The application fields of sol-gel technique are almost countless: for example, textile industry (1-2), eyewear, cardboard production (3-4), food packaging, realization of continuous facades in metal (5), polymer (6-8) or cement based materials, etc.
